Quentin’s Garage was hired to finish building out this client’s dream Syncro after the project parted ways with another shop. The client’s original syncro was used as the donor vehicle to convert a 2WD Westfalia to a Syncro.
This full nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration began in June of 2024. It received the following:
Syncro Conversion. Entire Chassis brought to OEM standards. NOS panels used whenever available.
Complete paint job in VW L325 Mouse Grey. Pop Top Refinished in L90D Pastel White.
Entire underside of the vehicle was cleaned, stripped, epoxy primed, and sprayed in Raptor Liner Black 2K.
Full Lizard Skin Spray on Sound and Heat Insulation treatment on chassis and body panels.
Full Sound deadening treatment.
All hardware replaced, finished in yellow zinc chromate. Refinished hardware used where needed.
Grade 304 stainless steel brake hard line, nuts, and flexible lines.
Complete suspension overhaul: Polyurethane bushings installed throughout, T3 Technique Expedition Shocks, Schwenk Springs, T3 Technique Upper and Lower ball joints, new wheel bearings, new wheel mounting hardware. All suspension was media blasted and painted in Steel-It Polyurathane Topcoat.
Custom 25mm extended trailing arms. Painted in Steel-it Black. Complete with Powerflex Polyurethane Bushings, Stainless Steel brake hard lines, and new E-brake cables.
Wilwood Brakes packages in the front and rear.
Bosche iBooster
Mansispeed Fuel Injection
Transmission and front differential rebuilt by AA. 4.86 with rear locking differential.
New refurbed VC from Viscokern.
All exterior lights converted to LED
LED Headlights. Bespoke inner LED Highbeams. Hella Comet 450 Fog lights; amber.
Full set of Ronal R9s. Refinished in L90D Pastel White.
German Mud Flaps.
Complete JBL sound system with self powered subwoofer.
Custom 320AH Lithium Auxillary battery system integrated into the bench seat; 50A Renogy DC-DC charger, 1500W inverter, webasto heater, air compressor.
Modern camper lighting.
