Our Favorite Products.

We are always looking to use the best parts and materials available on the market. Below are some of our favorites.

Steel-It Stainless Steel Polyurethane Top-coat

https://steel-it.com/

Steel-It has become our go-to coating for suspension, trim, and more. The finish closely resembles the factory VW finish, and as far as paint goes it’s the market leader in corrosion resistance and durability. Steel-It has proven itself to be objectively better than powder coat in several ways: It’s 100% weldable, doesn’t chip, and available in aerosol spray cans which makes touch ups incredibly easy.

Available in: Black, silver, charcoal, grey, and white.

Lizard Skin Spray-on Insulation

https://lizardskin.com/

From the factory the Vanagon platform came with little to no sound deadening or insulation (depending on the model and trim). Even the highest end models left a lot to be desired in terms of noise and heat control. Lizard Skin has became our favorite way to combat both heat and noise transfer into the cab. When used in conjunction with Dynamat and 3M SM600L insulation a Vanagon can be taken to a luxurious level of cabin comfort.

In regard to “how much is required for a specific make or model?” we can tell you the minimum amount required, but we simply believe “More is more!”

Double cab transporter door with no Lizard-Skin

Double cab transporter door with 5 coats of sound control insulation & 2 coats of ceramic heat protection.
